What is going on in these verses? I had to know. Surely there are better answers than, “just pay your taxes.”
This book is the product of my obsessive desire to not settle for conventional answers in the face of difficult passages. It was an exciting journey of rediscovering the depth of Scripture and only served to deepen my faith. At times it was frustrating and testing. How could I reconcile these supposed contradictions? But with every problem I found, the Lord brought me deeper to see what was going on underneath the text. My biblical worldview has become more robust as a result of the frustration and struggle.
